> Game Theory and Applications in Economics

Course Description: The course introduces the main concepts and tools of game theory with the aim to enable you to read original game-theoretic literature and to prepare you to do research in the field. You will learn how to represent an economic situation as a game (part 1) and how to analyze it using different equilibrium concepts proposed in the literature, the prominent one being the Nash equilibrium (parts 2 and 3).

Main Goals: Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- To understand the notion of strategic behaviour;
- To learn and to distinguish the different types of equilibrium;
- Determine the equilibrium solution in static and dynamic games;
- To apply the Game Theory to the theoretical models.

> Accessible Tourism

Course Description: Accessible tourism enables people with access requirements, including mobility, vision, hearing and cognitive dimension of access, to function independently and with equity and dignity through the delivery of universally designed tourism products, services and environments. This definition is inclusive of all people including those travelling with children in prams, people with disabilities and seniors. (Darcy & Dickson 2009; Buhalis & Darcy 2011).

> Leadership in Hospitality and Tourism

Course Description: The course will have a theoretical and a practical component. Initially the main theoretical concepts and theories about leadership will be analyzed. Next, the effects of leadership and team management in hotel units will be analyzed. During the course, several practical works will be conducted in order to develop the main skills for leader a hotel unit.

Main Goals: Understand the main leadership theories; Adopt practices for the development of teams in hotel units; Train behavioral/emotional leadership skills in hotel management.

> Tourism, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Destinations Management

Course Description: The course will have a theoretical and a practical component. Initially the main theoretical concepts and theories about Tourism Marketing and Tourism Destinations Management will be analyzed. Next, discussion of tourism destinations management and marketing research. During the course, some practical works will be conducted.

Main Goals: Provide marketing basis and cross marketing concepts applied to tourism, such as market analysis, segmentation options discussion, target markets and positioning, marketing-mix elements applied to tourism products; Recognize the specificity of tourism destinations development and concepts: tourism destination, destination management functions, the assumptions for a successful destination management, governance and the DMO (Destination Management Organizations); Discuss and justify the benefits of the planning activity, in a development perspective, regarding the partnerships in destinations management, team-building, stakeholders and performance, and the destinations competitiveness.
