The Post-graduate Programme in Revenue Management for Tourism and Hospitality is aimed at anyone looking to acquire and develop expertise on revenue management applied to the emerging tourism industry. Given its core economic importance, it is critical that top and middle managers are knowledgeable about Revenue Management in Tourism and Hospitality; more obviously so when the sector is growing exponentially in Portugal. People working in the industry should, then, be given the opportunity to be highly trained and specialised. Apart from training future professionals for this sector, the programme also aims at better qualifying those already in the labour market so that their performance is improved.

Revenue Managers play a central and decisive role in decision-making relating to pricing, inventory and restriction control, which makes managing the sales of any tourism undertaking even more vital.

Therefore, the main objectives of the Post-graduate programme are:

I. Developing Revenue Management skills, with an emphasis on an integrated perspective for the development and implementation of techniques and action plans;

II. Meeting the training needs of anyone starting their professional path in revenue Management;

III. Advancing the knowledge and skills of professionals already working in the Hospitality sector, namely those in Revenue Management;

IV. Implementing the usage of Revenue Management systems and techniques, through tools and IT systems for management (already quite commonly used in the current market) so as to boost sales.
