project summary

The ACT10N project, consisting of a consortium of five international partners, aims to strengthen the role of professional trainers in the effective prevention and management of workplace violence in the HORECA sector; raise awareness of workplace violence, inclusion, multiculturalism and solidarity among managers, employees and stakeholders in the HORECA sector; to provide HORECA sector managers with the necessary tools to inform and develop their occupational health and safety management plans and practices against workplace violence, including third-party violence and exclusion based on ethnicity/culture; provide HORECA sector management with the necessary tools to enable positive cultural change in their organisations, without requiring difficult-to-manage financial, time or staff resources to devote to this task; promote inclusive, healthy and safe employment in the HORECA sector; improve working conditions in the HORECA sector to attract more labour; help manage the emotional, social and psychological stress of victims of violence in the workplace and prevent potential incidents; and contribute to a violence-free, inclusive and multicultural HORECA sector in Europe.
